Hello. I'm Cormorant5. I'm having trouble with people. Well, people that aren't cool TGC guys. (In other words, my parents.) We plan our Haloween moths in advance and when they asked what I wanted to be this year I told them a Klingon or Federation Officer, both of which from Star Trek. They are (like I said) normal so they said I shouldn't be something that nerdy. They still say afet weeks they don't want me to. But this is my last year Trick or Treating so I want it to be perfect. Please, before it's to late, give me ideas on how to persuade them.

Note: It would be awesomer to be a Klingon because I know the language, in case anyone cares, even though no one did. Just wanted to get it out there I know the language.

Wow. Your parents must suck, I think dressing as a Klingon would be awesome, especially if you know the language. All I can say, is persuade them that you're old enough to make your own decisions and that if they don't trust you to make your own decisions refuse to do Halloween or something???

(I don't know how big Halloween is in America, I'm British and don't really give a flying pygmy about the whole thing)

Thank you?... It would be awesome to be a klingon, but I think giving up free candy and being in a pwnage suit that's from some stupid movie is too awesome to take away from myself. Keep the ideas coming, please.

hehe, I think it's something to do with the Dollar to Pygmy exchange rate.....or something You're right though. Over here all halloween is, is an excuse for kids to turn the pain in the arse level to 10 and to annoy delivery drivers because no one answers the door

@Budokaiman Hey to you too. Also, please respond to the .sig comment I made on your x10 mod thread.

PS: Sorry for the delays on my posts. I commented on the first post before Budokaiman's wason, I'm new so this will be temporary unless I post something I shouldn't. *Look to both sides suspiciously...*

@NickH okay, thanks for the fact but thatdosent help. Same to Budokaiman. I love causing conversation but that's not what this thread is for. This is to help someone with parents who don't respect James T. Kirk enough to get my respect.

Or tell them that if they don't let you dress up like that on Halloween, you will embarrass them even more by dressing up as a Klingon every other day of the year.

My green thumb grew the tree my Trojan War horse was crafted from. With roses in our pockets we rally round the tombstones. Ashes to ashes, we all fall down.

I was Kirk and Spock most of my child years. Though my parents are just as nerdy as me.

I'd say just speak Klingnon all the time until they let you.

Just keep saying the Klingon mantra..."Today is a good day to die!"
If your parents won't let you be Kirk,a Klingon or whatever then just think of all the trekkie conventions you can go to when you grow up.

Well, everytime your parents disagree on you beeing a Klingon, just beam yourself up to the TGC forums to talk to your fellow mates on the TGC Enterprise...?

Cheers

@The Slayer Finally someone understands! If only the TGC Enterprise was a thing...

@FredP Sadly the amount of Trekkie conventions are depleting now that both the original and Next Generation are over, and all that's left is the movie that doesn't even involve Klingons. Even next generation has Klingons in the federation! Also about the mantra, I agree but they wouldn't care if unless I speak Klingon 24/7. Would anyone care if someone occasionally said "HEGHHLUE'MEHH KAK JAJVAHM!"? (That's right! I know the language!)

I wish I had your parents. My dad occasionally watched the original as a kid but he doesn't care for it anymore.

I wish I could but that would require buying the costume, my problem in the first place, so I would have to do something along the lines of "Oh, school wants we to bring a costume of a fictional or nonfictional culture!"

I like Star Trek, in fact it's my favorite futuristic space sci fi series, but I don't speak Klingon.

I do NOT, however, like Halloween. It's just an excuse for all those kids to harass old guys like me. "I don't have any candy, stay the hell away from my house!" is my customary greeting to any trick-or-treat-ers.

...

@Herakles and Virtual Nomad Wow, that was, not helpful. At all. but, random and comical!...

I gave up on the Klingon. It's closer to halloween now and I don't even want to go trick-or-treating, so I'll just throw a football jersey and some cheap stuff on ebay together and make a football player. American Football. Minnesota Vikings. Woot.

So could someone lock this thread?

...Yeah. Batman. Oh, yeah and
