Bought a Mp4 no-name brand player about two months ago. 16gb flash drive with additional expansion slot if needed. Camera, recorder, .pdf reader blah blah It cost me £40 so its half decent.

Anyway I noticed something funny when a couple of songs became corrupt when i tried to play them. The songs came out as noise, high pitched frequency garbadge. I put up with it since thier was just 10 songs, so i finally got around to sorting out my cd's and i went to update my playlists.

I plugged it in, and noticed that there was garbadge files all over the place.

So i fiddeled with it, no avail. Now when i thought splitting the music into different folders this happened when i created them.

Can someone explain the possible causes of this crap? or if you can link me to a custom fireware like a universal software of some kind. Its a touchscreen with a Ipod 'like' rip off software, Im just wondering if it'll be unique to the hardware.

You listen to Rise Against? Awesome.

As for the garbage, sounds to me like you have a sucky MP4 player. I do not know any kind of freeware for it; sounds to me like you might just need a new one.

EDIT: ...You don't happen to know where I Can get that theme? That thing is awesome.
