That slap lasted for two days.
I want to know why i have been slapped, a second time.
And I looked for about 20 minutes through threads to find out why.

If some mod thinks this is funny, I DONT.

It depends on what exact time you got slapped...besides, I can't see why being slapped is so bad, I had it once and I used the forum as usual, didn't affect me, so I don't know why you have to throw a hissy fit over it ...

@Jerico2Day,

Well said, both ways .

Slap him again - maybe then he'll learn not to make a bloody thread per slap! Email them already, we don't want to hear it!

EDIT:

Wait, if you're slapped, who approved this and why?

Either FredP or KeithC since they are the only ones online right now, but like the other mods, they'd have the brain to deny this (not saying that accepting this was a no-brainer, just seems odd that you'd approve this thread) and slap the user again. I'd just leave this until another mod comes along.

Perhaps it was a real slap this time. Can't imagine why.

Imagine how many threads we'd have here if everyone that gets slapped for a day asked why they were

I'm also curious as to how the post approval process on the forum works. I've seen a fair handful of comments by users on post moderation that are in some violation of the AUP (swearing, advertising, etc). I can't remember where an example would be to show, because they only come up once in a great while, but it does make me curious as to how the process works, and is there a point to post moderation if threads like these get posted regardless?

(I'm not saying the mods aren't doing their job well, I'm just curious about the purpose of post moderation in these instances).

Continuing to make angry and or completely unnecessary posts will result in extension to noob slaps. It is supposed to make people think before they post as it has to be read before being approved.

I can't speak for the other mods General Jackson, but your continued poor attitude on the forums and general inability to coexist with others makes me think that the next time you need moderating it should be an extended ban. Perhaps not being able to visit the forums would change your attitude.

As was said earlier, a much better way to ask a question like this is to email a mod. All you've succeeded in doing here is irritating people.

AFAIK there are two ways to approve posts. We have a link we can click on called 'post approval list' which takes us to a page where every unapproved post is listed. Here you can select posts to be approved and do a mass approval. Or as you browse the forum you will come across posts/threads which have a bright orange background. This means the post/thread has been made but needs approving and it can done via the moderator controls.

It's much quicker to do a mass approval as you don't have to go searching the forum for new posts.

Occasionally people on post approval constantly post threads like this until they get the answer they wanted. In these instances it is far easier to approve one of them and lock it to show that it has been seen rather than simply keep deleting them and then having more appear in the list of real posts.

It's the same with some of these people who advertise. They keep posting the same identical message again and again and again (I'm not talking about spam bots here) so it's better to approve and lock so that it stops.
