I recently downloaded Spotify. Its a really cool program (for those who dont know it allows you to listen to basically any song you want)

Its FREE and every song you want to listen to is free to listen to aswell. Its high quality but the bad point being, unless you pay you only get 20 Hours of listening per Month. My brothers had it for a few month and i decided to get it now after realising how good it is.

https://www.spotify.com/uk/get-spotify/overview/

Who else uses it?

[EDIT] If anyone has an invite code i can use, please give it to me. Contact me and ill do ANYTHING! [/EDIT]

That doesn't work in Canada, unfortunately. I prefer to use GrooveShark because it's unlimited for free

When did it become 20 hours a month? It was always just ads+music.

GrooveShark is pretty cool, but I found it doesn't have as big of a selection.

Although, I'm liking that they now have the £5 a month option, I might sign up for that once I've settled down (currently finding a job and a house to live in)

Can you make me a sandwich? (Saying that, I don't have any invites to give, I've been using the free version)

Im guessing this happened when they officially released it to non BETA users. Still, it has a very large selection of music and a few ads dont annoy me. Did you get the BETA? If so you keep that and have just ads and music.

@Shaun: If you send me an email (see the email button below - and assuming my spam filter doesn't delete it) I can send you an invite, I have a few spare.

I have one of them there beta accounts. Spotify is great on the whole, with there being only a few gaps in the music on offer (at least for what I search for anyway). The ads don't annoy me that much too so it's all good

Check out this thread, where Spotify and Grooveshark have already been mentioned, with Lala as another alternative:

I take that back, Lala.com is being shutdown in a few weeks. I know I used to have an account, but apparently its no longer on file.

Yup, I have used all of those websites Phaelex.

It's typical really...Apple aquired Lala, and now they are closing.

20 hours a month? when did that happen? I still listen to it for between 5-15 hours a day!
the easiest way to get an account is to pay for one month and then cancel, It's really hard to get an invite otherwise.

I'm pretty sure i read somewhere that they're going to start a beta in America soon.

I hope they do. Sometimes Pandora's selections are just inappropriate.

Invite sent Shaun, sorry for the delay had to dig through my junk mail box to find your email.

Not sure it worked as it said you already had an account and that I should try a different email address, oddly though it still shows the invite as having been sent. Let me know if you have any problems claiming it and I can try again.
