DX11 enables threaded rendering, compute shaders and HW tessellation. Nothing is going to
require these features for a long old time. I would not bother worrying over DX11 a whole lot yet. Until XP is completely dead a lot of developers aren't going to be putting a lot of effort into Vista/7 exclusive technologies, which includes DX11
DX10 support already exists in a lot things but DX9 still outnumbers it by far.
It is also very likely that by the time anything requires DX11 (or its features), DX11 itself will already be obsolete/superseded.
