...it's absolutely incredible. That's really all you need to know. Go out and buy it right now, or you'll be sorry.

arg. My mom bought it the day after it came out and likes to remind me that she's been playing it (my mom loves Mario games and has since the first). However, because of school I haven't had time to visit.

I convinced my wife to let me get a wii after I graduate (sept). This is definitely going to be one of the games I buy.

I have played it some, hard to get on the Wii with the kids. I really love it though, I was afraid it would not be as good as the first but I was wrong, it's better.

It really is better than the first one, I think. It takes everything that was successful about it and expands upon it, with new game mechanics and enemies in just about every single level.

One of my favorite features is the new "faceship", as opposed to the home ship that was used in the last one. Everything about it feels so vibrant and alive, and with the fantastic music playing it's just about impossible to not be happy while you run around. The addition of Yoshi is awesome as well, and he makes room for a lot of awesome new mechanics, like the hot peppers in the second world.

And then there's the new galaxy/planet navigation system that's very similar to the layout used in the NES and SNES games, allowing you to access every galaxy and every planet from one interface, without having to run all the way across your ship.

And of course, just as in the first game, the controls and camera are smooth, the graphics are vibrant, the soundtrack is fantastic, and the level design is incredible.

It's also worth mentioning that it has a 98 on Metacritic, with 10s from GameSpot and IGN, as well as dozens of other sites and magazines.

I may have to pick it up. I was a huge fan of the first one. The only reason I haven't gotten it so far is because I read a few reviews that said it was pretty much the first game with a couple new bosses and enemies. The "faceship" was one of the down sides in a review as well as the new map system for visiting worlds/levels.

Oh wells. Maybe I need an early birthday present.

Doesn't matter if my birthday is in October.

I picked it up two days ago and haven't put it down since (except for bathroom and coffee breaks, of course), and I must say, AndewT hit the nail on the head with his description above.

Indefinitely a must buy.

Whether I play it or not depends on whether the hospital aquires it. I sold my wii due to the tiny amount of decent games, compared to the Gamecube or N64.

I'd love to see things from your point of view but I can't get my head that far up my bum.
