Poor thing, why? I can't see why people just chuck their dog away heartlessly, surely if they wanted to 'get rid of it' , they'd take it to a dog pound as you said? It's a shame that there are people out there who don't appreciate what they have, and they don't treat it properly (that sounds wrong in so many ways xD)...just why? Sick fools, dumping a dog to rot...it saddens me as I type .

That is very sad.

[semi-offtopic] Has anyone ever seen National Lampoon's Vacation? If you have, you know the dog scene that I am talking about.

Here, to release your dog to the pound or animal shelter it's a $75 fee, and that's only if they have the cages available. So, money can drive people to do stupid things.

Sad.

Well they could go around asking people if they want a free dog.

Unfortunately that would take time and effort which some people value more then the well being of an animal, as crazy as that sounds.

I bet it can, my sister in law had to get rid of a cat when she moved, she called every place in the phone book none were taking cats. She had no one that wanted or could take it and ended up driving almost 200 miles to a shelter that had an opening. Most people are just not going to go through that kind of trouble.

My worst story for a dog was when I was 5.

We had a VW bus and my dad was driving with me in the passenger seat. An Irish Setter ran out in front of us and my dad hit it, the VW jumped like hitting a speed bump to fast. The a second or so later it jumped again then again. we got out the dog was caught in the wheel well and we ran it over several times. ugg bad memory

A dog can usually live just fine on its own.

a dog, which u've had for years months dont live on fine on its own GJ, it either get run over or it starves, or something like that, since it is used to getting food without hunting/fighting for it, and not search for it,,,

You're asking people who throw dogs out of windows to think rationally?
