hello, i've been wondering lately my itunes crashes during the processing of a file after a purchase, this is just for music, and forces it to close erasing all history of the purchase, excluding the charge. this means that for the last... 20 odd purchases i've had to the 'report a problem' and have them mail me the file. i wanted to know is there a fix, i'm just about to try uninstalling itunes and reinstalling it, and if anyone else has had or is having this problem let me know how you fixed t or what doesn't work, thanks

I don't use itunes, but reinstalling would be my first choice. Make sure you don't get rid of any tunes you have downloaded, though. (I'm not sure how itunes affects your library when you uninstall it.)

Good luck!

Uninstalling iTunes doesn't remove your music library, it is left in $USER$\Music\iTunes\iTunes Music. But yeah, I recommend you re-install, otherwise it may be an internet error by my best bet.

Reinstall would be my first choice. As SikaSina said, it won't remove your music. I would, however, consider backing up the iTunes xml file if you have more than a few thousand songs. This way, you won't have to reimport everything.

If you still have issues, I'd ask on the Apple forum and hopefully they don't delete your post if they don't know an answer.
