Hey guys,
Im trying to display text (for a score) but i have a background sprite that is drawn over all printf and text commands. I know making the text into a sprite would fix this, but is there a way to contunulously change the text (ie a score) and still have it displayed on top and visible?

im a newb here, but...

just put 'set current bitmap 0' before the code to display the score. this way its always rendered on the screen.

*might* work, let me know if it does, i realy could use a few seconds of feeling smart

use paste image for the background

None of them work. (your day of glory is not here yet Hardboot)

"set current bitmap" does nothing

"draw sprite first" is not a command in DBpro, and i cant find a equivlent. I thought it was "set sprite priority" but that just draws the sprite last.

Finally, "paste image" is useless because i have a nice scrolling background

any more ideas? I hope im not SOL!

Try DRAW SPRITES FIRST instead

Well good and bad news,

Good news, the text shows up! (YEEAAAAHHHHH!!! )

Bad news, Nothing else does (BOOOOOOOOOO!!!! )
none of the sprites are shown.

im trying to work around this by rearanging the sprites, but so far no luck

oh i fixed it never mind

(i had a CLS floating around from previous trys to fix this problem)
