Ok I had this problem before but its always been a connectivity issue when I used a wireless adapter that came with my router, though I could retry and eventually succesfully download files. Now I use a wireless dongle(vodaphone) which is much faster and has downloaded without these issues before. In fact I can play 64 player bf2 matches with a ping of 120.
I can start any download in either IE or FF but in either case they always get near completion but halt/pause/hang/freeze. All retries won`t even start or open a download dialogue unless I close the browser. I have AVG full which shows no viruses after a scan. I have disabled firewalls, reset;even removed FF profiles and disabled add-ons/plugins for FF, aswell as clearing cookies, browser history, changing download locations and filenames. I still have a very good internet connection and can still play bf2 online for hours without issues.
I have googled this and cannot seem to find a solution, so I thought that perhaps someone here could throw me some advice?
I should add that I use win7 pro which I installed 6 weeks ago; all downloads up until a week ago have been succesfull.
