Looks decent, only thing that stands out is the fairly mediocre amount of RAM for the price - you'd expect 4GB DDR3 for the 7 or 8 hundred mark.

Well, I won't be doing any heavy gaming with it. Just drawing stuff using a tablet and such. I guess if I were to try playing The Sims 3 I'd burn the thing out...

Nah Sims 3 would work. It looks decent,also the battery life is good so I guess its a good pick.

So someone tell me... what's the difference between DDR2 and DDR3? And how does it affect what a computer can do? Unfortunately, I know almost next to nothing about laptops. I have to depend on what the salesman tells me (and I never trust them completely even if I know them personally)...

well you need good RAM for basicly everything, so thats a bad excuse for having low RAM
also

DDR3 ram is faster but right now the cheapest and best alternative is DDR2.

Quik: I run Windows 7 on 2gb of ram and works like a dream.
