ok, after looking over the thread by The Lemac i've noticed another, similar type of problem here using the .X format. Here's what i have:

1) i've created a simple box with an opened lid and hinges and textured it all (i'm using AC3D)

2) i ran it thru DBP (using Patch 2) and ALL looked fine.

3) i did some editing on this "box" several times

4) i went to run it thru DBP and now ONLY the BOTTOM panel of the box shows! no sides, no lid, no hinges!

5) i then saved this SAME box in 3DS & it ALL shows up in DBP (except for the textures), how do you get 3DS textures to show?

so, i guess the ultimate question is; "Is this a BUG in DBP or my AC3D?"

i am in contact with the AC3D people to confirm on their end but seeing how many users here have issues with the .X format,,,maybe it IS DBP, eh?

thanx

Please send your X file(s) to mike@darkbasic.com for DBO model system testing. We aim to get very good compatibility with as many X files as we can
