Well, I had a commercial in mind when I read the first post, but now that I've watched most of these horrible commercials already posted, I can't remember mine.

It wasn't nearly as bad as most of these...


Oh yeah! The commercial I had in mind was the first HeadOn commercial. The one that explained nothing and only showed a picture of a silhouette rubbing some kind of deodorant on their forehead.

Oh God. Those HeadOn commercials were the most obnoxious thing on television a couple of years ago. Well, that and that stupid singing sock puppet for "Quizno's" sub sandwich restaurant.

any of these The General Insurance commercials irk me to no end, and they air often.

and, i could never stand the vonage commercials, especially the ones with the woo hoo song.

i watch less tv than i normally would because of both. i guess they're doing me a favor...

yeah, it makes you wonder what a lot of companies are thinking when they put out ads like that. alas, the bottom line is we're talking about it, and than means "it worked". annoying or otherwise, we're talking about it, posting links, advertising for them... now, i've never taken a business/marketing course or anything, but this tactic has to be in there somewhere, right?

I have a growing hatred for all types of advertising, it is all so hollow, pretentious and deceitful.

All adverts that use the world cup are stupid. This is a pathetic attempt at getting people's attention. "Do you like the world cup? then you'll love our new world cup themed batteries, their the exact same batteries as before except that I have now declared that they are related to the world cup!"
Why do companies make these stupid associations? Just because people like football doesn't mean they will like anything that you brand with football.

The stupidest commercial i've ever seen was one showing a HD TV and its great graphics ON YOUR TV. Hahaha they changed it now but I thought it was pretty funny, there pretty much showing that your TV has that graphics.

i know right? i started noticing that when i was a kid, i thought if those tv can get that great picture in the commercial onto my TV then how come my TV usually dosent look like that?

but in reality those TVs are way better than than your tv can show in a commercial. I only watched a regular tv version of avatar but one day i was at an electronics market and they had an hdtv showing avatar, and i was just hypnotized by how amazing it looked on blu ray. no regular tv can ever get that true picture across in an ad

Kinda makes me wonder how many people that already owned an HD TV watched that commercial on it and thought, "oh wow, the quality on those televisions look great; I gotta pick me up one of those!"
