If this counts as advertising, sorry. Please lock and forget

Well. Im sure a few of you already know of this wonderful website.

Basically, you advertise your services on the site for $5. I myself signed up to this site under 48 hours ago and already have 7 orders and 1 completed order totalling upto $35 so far. Really good to add to personal portfolios (as i am doing)

You need $40 to be able to withdraw the money and after every order must wait 14 days until the payment is actually put into your site account for refund reasons if the person isnt satisfied.

website is: www.fiverr.com

My account is: http://www.fiverr.com/users/shaunr/ if your a bit curious

No im not advertsing the website. I just think its an excellent start for those users who have excellent work and have noone to sell it to. Anything is possible and for all those writers out there you can sell your writing too.

Just think this is an excellent resource for budding entrepreneurs and those who have paypal accounts!

Hmm...tempting. I might self publish a few small things on there, maybe even offer a critique service, it ought to give my website a bit more publicity too (as well as funding). It sounds like a nice way to generate some money.

It's quite a cool website. You'd need to come up with something you can do in 5 minutes, if you wanted to make some decent money from it. Good for the CV though, as you said.

Insert piccy sig here. Eh? Why didn't that work?!?! Must ring help-a-noob. What was the number again? .... where am I?

I will think about you giving me five dollars and how I will spend it for five dollars.

But yeah, it's an interesting concept and I'll keep an eye on it.

It isnt really a case of that though really. My logo's take around 30 minutes to make or longer right. This website is giving me work to do EVERY day.

Before this i didnt do any freelance stuff really because noone needed me. This works very well if your not getting alot of work

If it takes 30 minutes, you're earning more per hour than minimum wage, $35 over 2 days for quick work isn't bad as a secondary income and for creating material for your portfolio.

If I could get paid $4 to critique up to 2,000 words of a piece of writing, that ought to take me enough time that's worth the money. This might be good for some CV building too, for example, editorial work, after all, I'm on the job hunt, though all I'll know is that a site like that might be a pain with the dole office - but I suppose it'd only be a form for every 2 weeks, though I do hope I get a job quickly.

You can tell you're all students. I wouldn't work freelance for less than $30/hour.

^Ha ha, been a graduate for 2 weeks, considering I've visited the dole office, you can tell I'm not too fussy at the moment as long as:
It gets me a bit of cash
Adds to my portfolio
Adds to my CV
Increases my employ-ability so I don't stay on the dole for too long, plus I hate applying for jobs.

Heck, I've got a gig on Wednesday and despite me paying £30 for the train fare, I don't care if I don't get paid, after all, it gets me further as a performance storyteller and adds an extra slot to the 'performances' section of my CV...I'm opening Shonaleigh's set and she's pretty big in the storytelling world, to be able to say I've done that means I might be able to get performances elsewhere and get a reputation.

So yeah, pity me, pity the poor graduate.

What a crazy idea. I put up three gigs to see what I get. $5 might not seem like much, but after a few gigs it could really add up.

Looking forward to see what happens.
