Hey guys, haven't made a thread here in a while.

I've been wondering, do any of you guys have Left 4 Dead 2?

If you have it for the PC (Steam), then give me your steam, and we can own zombies together.

Anyone?

PS: Add Monkeyboymja.

Add me as Cormorant5, but my public ID is Little Troid, I do not have Left 4 Dead 2, but I'm getting it in August. I am also getting TF2 in August.

There is an FPSC Steam group, but I'm not sure about a general TGC group. That would be the best place to start.

Personally, I wasn't overly impressed with left 4 dead 2, so I tend to stick to the original

I actually prefer 2 to the original. Playing Left 4 Dead without melee weapons just seems so wrong now.

I'd love to see things from your point of view but I can't get my head that far up my bum.

I own L4D2 and added you as a friend

And I prefer L4D2, becouse:
-Melee
-More weapons
-More campaigns (wich are more different from the others)
-More Zombies
-More game modes
-Better Graphics
-Survivors with more presonality (more interesting survivors)

And there is not only daytime levels. Half of Hard Rain is night time. Almost the whole Swamp Fever is night time. Dark Carnival is night time, The Passing is night time. Only Dead Center and Parish are fully daytime, so your facts are not right. And parish has the best versus multiplayer map ever; the Bridge Finale. And there is now these weekly mutations and Realism Versus, that came with The Passing. And Midnight Riders rock.

I've heard a ton of people argue the complete opposite, and beside, I didn't say all of L4D2 is nighttime did I?

well, you just said:

Maby you ment playing it when it's day? That we should play in the dark? But I took it like you meant there's a day in the game all along...

And I think L4D's characters were kinda bland compared to the new ones. I love the first one too, but Left 4 Dead 2 is jus superior IMO. I love playing as jockey and a Charger.

Hey,

I own both L4D and L4D2. I also prefer L4d2 because
Quote: "-Melee
-More weapons
-More campaigns (wich are more different from the others)
-More Zombies
-More game modes
-Better Graphics
-Survivors with more presonality (more interesting survivors)"

The melee weapons are the one that swings it for me, I'm rubbish with pistols. Plus I have a server for it with some pretty cool mods on and a bunch of people who don't rage to play with

Yeah, they are better for clearing the way when zombies gather around you. But I do like the magnum. I quess it's called that The big monster pistol anyway!

I usally don't use melee weapons. If I'm surrounded by zombies I just throw a grenade, if I can't move I throw it on myself, (Or use grenade launcher right under me if I have one), boom, 10 damage to me, all the zombies are gone.

The thing that usally kills me is a Jockey or rarely a Tank. But Spiderman zombie can seriously use his webs well.

Since you never answered my question I'll assume you're from the north pole so I can't really play L4D2 with you since the ping would be pretty high.

I use melee all the time, if I don't have a magnum. Just one swing of the golf club, machete or badeball bat, and the zombies are gone, with me still on full health! And meleeing the tank do death is fun!

Oh, and the granade launcher tactic isn't so good, if you play on realsim expert, or even expert!

I only have L4D 2 and bloody love it, best game I've played, I thought it'd be terrible after my impression on L4D. It's the only Steam game I have apart from Audiosurf-Demo and I play with anyone on L4D2 if I'm not busy. My name on it is: harry_carling, and I go under the alias of [SSG]STN Pigeon .

Yet if you can't move and theres three tanks two jockeys one boomer and a thousand zombies surrounding you while covered in boomer bile and unable to move, would you want to kill them all and just damage yourself a tiny bit or die?

i would do the most realistic choise: RUN.

which i feel l4d2 and l4d is lacking: the ability to run from danger, which makes it booring since the zombies are basicly harmless

You should say that when being swarmed by so many zombies you can't even move.

Quote: "zombies are basicly harmless"

They do 10 damage on expert and they have incapped and killed me many times. If one is attacking you, you also can't move, wich is bad when running away from a Tank backward while shooting at it.
And 3 Tanks? wont happen. 2 jockeys? Wont happen. 1Boomer? Wo... well, yeah you will see that alot. I would melee them away with RMB then swing them, take steps back, change to firing weapon, shoot them and tell my goddamn teammates to help me!!!
