Thanks man.

Well I guess 1.17 is officially out now, so I need to release this! Yes it will be free, I will release under creative commons license. I need to tidy this up and add a few more DarkShader controls, then make a video tutorial this weekend.

Sometimes I think he should have an "Under" added to his forum title icon all this free or silly cheap top quality stuff.

Then again this is exactly why these forums rock so hard

Wow, I read that yesterday and just got it....man I'm slow. But he is very highly valued and respected, he is also very generous in giving away such great work so cheaply or free. If he would announce he's moving on from FPSC, I think a little of me would die inside.

I will admit that I'm not always right, but I'll never admit that I'm wrong.

Bond1 is one of key FPSC migration developers as confirmed on the Google code site.

Hopefully he earns enough through his model packs and TGC support to make it worth his while staying but I think he genuinely likes the engine and wants to see it succeed like the rest of us.

Sometimes its better to be a big fish in a small pond. If bond1 moved to UDK he would likely become just another developer instead of the respect and praise he's used to here. Thoroughly deserved I might add.

I think bond1 would always be a big fish wherever he was, cause he always thinks outside the box and never settles for "it's ok"

Bond1 is really more of a great white shark than a fish. A great white shark with lots of shaders applied to it.

Anyway bond1 is already working on commercial next gen games such as Prototype for PS3. If he wanted to go rip it up on some other forums he could totally do that but fortunately for us FPSC is close to his normal mapped, specular highlighted, post processed heart.

Sooo many shaders, so little time. Can't wait for a release! Bond1 ROCKS (though we all knew that )!

BTW: I keep asking in his threads if he's gotten my e-mail... maybe he's ignoring me . I didn't think I was that annoying

Any News, are you putting on the pack, something like Silent hill: Shattered Memories, subtle black noise, with some sort of whiteish at the bottom and the top...?

Do you need to make everything to give it the shader look or can you take stuff from FPS Creator and edit it with dark shader?

Oh and how do you install it..I downloaded the file and its online files..no .exe

Sorry, but I am new.

I've just finished exposing all the controls in DarkShader, and the amount of variation you can do is really great!

I will be recording a tutorial and releasing the files TOMORROW, I promise.

Yeah this is way cool, and that idea of using it for flashbacks was a good one.
You guys already know I am looking forward to this for Night, but I like that flashback idea and I can use that for another project.

Thanks in advance Bond

Released! Check first post for download and tutorial. You'll need to have Dark Shader for this one. I walk you how to create all kinds of different effects. Very versatile shader!

@bond1,
Dark shader keeps crashing when trying to export. Any ideas?
I got dark shader with the dark game studio package. Is there an update for dark shader? Also crashes in windows XP.

Like everyone else, I've been waiting for this release. Thank you so very much brother. I'm sure this will change the look of many games to come.

I "really" apreciate all the hard work you put into these, as well as the help and advise you share with everyoneone here. You are a major influance to me, and are one of the few, who keep me working so hard to improve my own skills, and quality of my work.

Your like my Yoda dude!

Thanks also, for the kind words on my "Trooper" thread, It has prompted my decision to try and produce an Offical pack for TGC. ( I never felt I was good enough yet).

Thanks again! Your pal Cosmic.

Download a revised version from the first post - it should export just fine now. Dark Shader didn't like where in the code I was defining the color matrices. Boo.

There IS an update for Dark Shader though for Win7/Vista - see if it's in your order history.

EDIT: Thanks guys. I'm proud of this one - there's so much you can do with it. It should really do a lot for breaking up the "samey" look of FPSC games. It really helps to define a mood and genre.

Great, thanks for confirming MK83. If you got Dark Shader from Dark Game Studio, it may have already contained the fix.

This shader is like 100 shaders in one, with just a few tweeks you got an entirely new shader with endless looks and feels. I love this baby ^_^

The monochrome/colourwash with subtle scanlines and film graining is excellent for making flashback type cutscenes etc

Yeah just resize/reset the view. Also keep in mind it's resolution dependent too, so you can also play with the Scanline Count value if it's not quite looking how you want in your final game.
