Got this idea from the Cartoons thread, when I remembered the TV shows I watched when I was younger.

I know this is always one of the coolest threads to bring up, because people can always talk about their memories and favorite Pokemon and flame/cuss out the people who don't like Pokemon...What, we can't do that? !![Mod Edit]!!

I'm normally not a fan of Action Replays, even though every third person has one, but they do bring short but good times.

Favorite Pokemon:

Pikachu - Epic Volt Tackle is epic. Also, I own in Super Smash Bros with him, so kudos for that. He's ownage and cute. Those are pretty much the reasons I still like him.

Charizard - Two words: Flaming Dragon.

Favorite Legendary:

Mew - So rare, cuddly, and awesome being able to learn any move. I mean, Mewtwo is alright, but he's so weird, especially in SSB.

BLASTOISE FTW

Initially I was either a cheater, or let my friends play for me on my games on Red.

Then I got Silver and started to really play. I barely remember any of the pokemon (there's WAY too many now), but man Gold/Silver was amazing. I picked up Pearl from the Nintendo World store last year to try it out. It was pretty fun, but I haven't had much time to play it.

The best part was definitely Drifloon, the Pedo-Pokemon.

Also, I had Mew in Pokemon Yellow!
I didn't liked the later games that much, though...

4chan has a Pokemon board? I wanna check it out, but I know better than to go to 4chan.


Like you said though, the first 151 was great, then the next batch was meh, the third batch I liked actually better, and if it ended there it wouldn't be totally destroyed, but the last batch was out of hand.


I still play all games though, I'm waiting for Black and White to come out.

I meant there was 151 at first. Easy to memorize, name any Pokemon, anyone who played the game for over a hour would know what your talking about.

Now if you see a Roselitia, and you talk about how many there are in the Rose gardens, your freind might be like, "Whats that?"

the 151 was atleast thought through and most of them inspired by animals, however now it is just: wth!? the 151first i could memorize and had fun names, perfect variety, now it is just.... it feels like their imagination is gone (the pokemon makers imagination) and theyre just pumping out new material to make money

which is probably true..

My Entei Has Never lost a link battle since it became lvl 100.

HAHAHAHA!!! YES, I'm a........POKEMON NERD!

.............There I said it. Actually, I loved pokemon, till my friend messed up my game.

I'd had it since the Red/Blue Days(I was like.....4!). When Sapphire came out, I'd got it on realese day, beaten it 5 days later. I played ruby the same, Then emerald, Then Firered, Leafgreen. all of them were beaten, And on all I had close to all the pokemon(Lol, That was like the only game i played...). So then.......I got a DS and Diamond and Pearl on the release day. I'd beaten both and had about 460 of the 493 of all of the pokemon(This was after transfering ALL My old games' pokemon.). Then my friend randomly stole both of my games, and he tryed to frame me and say that I used a cheat device to get all that stuff, so he used a ActReplay on my game, gave me 999 Master Balls the usual. But, the idiot had walk thru walls on. and he saved in the Mystery Zone(The Area That you normally cant walk in). He gave my games back, I turned them both on(He'd done this to both) and well, the only thing we heard was a frozen game(You know, the Screeching when a gameboy or DS game Freezes). And so I lost my Love for Pokemon.


But It's still cool to watch on tv.


I've got platnum now, but i cant play it for some reason.......just got bored with it.

More like after the 300 something. Ruby/Saphire/Emerald was awsome.

i cannot agree, Gold/silver barely hold my attention due to all the friggin pokemon which was only plain annoying to see >.>

I didn't like Gold or Silver, Hoenn or hoever you spell it was alright, but nothing beats Kanto.


The new pokemon for Pokemon Black and White look so much worse than even Diamond and Pearls!

You guys didn't get addicted to the Pokemon breeding in gold & silver? C'mon, it was awesome!

I haven't seen any previews of Black & White, but I figure they gotta keep it interesting somehow. That was the main point of the game anyway, finding new pokemon. The battle system has always kinda sucked, the main thing was catching 'em all, and recording it in your pokedex.

I'm playing FireRed right now. I love all of the games Although FireRed/LeafGreen have to be my favorites, as in my opinion, they capture the feel of the original game, and expand on it, especially after beating the Elite 4
