Yeah, it was a good one. It had kinda the same formula that Final Wars did, but becouse Final Wars was supposed to end the franchise, then Toho decided to go crazy with... well, EVERYTHING! And that's why I think it was too cool. But Destroy all Monsters is a great one, certainly better than some Godzillas.

And this may sound impatient, but... I am suprised there is no more posts here... there must be more Godzilla fans here.

My favourite big creature movie is Pulgasari, which was made in North Korea. This movie had a fascinating development. Kim Jong-Il, a Hollywood movie buff, had a famous South Korean movie director and his actress wife KIDNAPPED and forced them to make crappy North Korean films.

Pulgasari is one of their magnificent crapfests:

Oh, Pulgasari... watched and... just have to say that you know it's Korean, when it got horrid acting, silly dialogue, dumb story and a hilarious monster, but it's still entertaining as hell! But still, I must say that the cover for the Video/DVD looks cool, and I would propably buy taht movie if I saw it on a store shelf. That's what japanese seem to be damn good at. I mean all the monster movies have cool covers! Even thou how bad they were.

And just to ask, anyon here seen The Giant Claw? The movie that's considered to be one of the worst movies of all time? I heard that, when people saw the monster, they started laughing, and the director sneaked out embarassed, and afraid someone might regognize him. I mean, just look at teh monster:

And now that I remember, the monster taht wasn't in the title of Godzilla, Mothra, King Gidorah: All Monsters All-Out Attack was Baragon. The title was quite long anyhow, with all the other monsters in it, but why didn't Baragon get in? And why didn't they just call it Godzilla: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack? It is a Godzilla movie, so I wouldn't see the problem. Then just tell in the back of the DVD case, that there is Mothra, King Gidorah and Baragon in there too.

Pah, there's only one king of the monsters.

KING KONG! - the clue is in the name!

Really though that was the first moneter movie with personality I ever saw, the old black and white, stop motion thing, Godzilla has no charm whatsoever.

Health, Ammo, and bacon and eggs!

King Kong = 8th Wonder of the World
Godzilla = Kind of the Monsters.

I liked King Kong vs Godzilla! Cool and hilarious! But King Kong was resized to be as big as Godzilla, so it wouldn't be like *stomp* The End!

But yeah, I love King Kong too. And the effects in the original King Kong were pretty amazing, back then and now. Stop motion is cool, but you just can't beat a guy in a rubber suit.

The first Godzilla movie I've seen was "The return of Godzilla" sometime in the late 80's on TV. The destruction of Tokyo and the epic battle against Super X, kept me wanting for more. I've seen many of his movies, although not every single one that was made. Today Godzilla is still one of my favorite creatures, the Japanese original that is. I never liked the American version.
Personally one of the Godzilla movies which I enjoyed a lot is, Godzilla vs Biollante.

I'm looking forward to 2012 when Godzilla is being resurrected\reborn.

No offense to Batman fans, but it's not a fair fight in the first place.

EDIT* This is offtopic, but I can't see my signature anymore, there is just a blank space where my sig should be. Can you see my signature? Or should I make a new one?
EDITABOUTTHEEDITIMADELASTTIME* Ok, I chagned it, as I didn't see it myself anymore, and it bothered me... and this is better in my opinion :-P

Batman would just take a look at Godzilla and give Supes a call on the ole batphone. Unless of course it was the 60's Batman then I am sure he would have a can of Godzilla Repellent.

Man in a suit vs. Indestructible hundreds of meter tall, fire breathing nuclear monster... Now I don't want to make this into a Batman vs. Godzilla war thread, so let's just drop this here and say that the fight isn't too fair in the first place. Maby if Batman was fighting against Amercan Godzilla, that would be fair. I love Batman, I love Godzilla, I don't want to put the magainst eachother...

Okay, let's stop the fight now. But I could probably, later in life when making vids is easier, make a video showing how Batman could pwn him.

Actually, I thought a lot of people liked that movie. Personally, I hated it, I thought it was unbearably boring overall.

Sometimes I'll watch a Godzilla movie just to laugh at how corny it is.

I loved it. It was truly amazing. altho original, I maby liked better. And I think I am the only one that actually likes Jack Black in there. The whole ship scene was kinda boring after a while, altho I know what they were trying, but still... other than that, I didn't find it boring. And even that is not so boring after a while.

And Godzilla movies may be corny, but... that's just part of the fun.

:-P yeah. The 1998 Godzilla didn't have a nuclear breath becouse Emmerich wanted to make it more realistic... It's like, not giving batman any cool stuff he had, to make him more realistic... or something. Take the belt from him!

And all in all, it was more like a ripoff from Jurassic Park, than it was a Godzilla movie.

@Metal Devil123 - I remember seeing that "trailer" a couple of months ago. I thought it was for a remake or something I haven't seen yet. However, it turned out that this scene is from the Japanese comedy movie "Always 2". It turned out quiet well.

I'm curious about Godzilla 2012, but my expectations are rather low. I'm not a fan of American movie adaptations. I just hope it will turn out better than the Emmerich movie.

Yeah. I am waiting forward to it, but I am not gonna go out dressed as godzilla, waving my godzilla flag, and playing vuvuzela, before actual trailers and such. So yeah... I bet it's still gona be better than the Emmerich one, since they are not gonna reinvent the concept. And they said at the Comic Con, that this time they are gonna do it right. They damn right should!

And since this is a general monster movie talk, I want to know, if anyone has seen Reptilicus. It's an awesome monster movie too, and more awesomer it, that it's not CGI, it's not stopmotion, it's not a man in a suit, it's an actual "doll". And it shoots cheap bluescreen goo or osmething... not really sure on that... but still, it's awesome!

I was wondering this too... as Godzilla is the god of nerds, so how come I don't see too much Godzilla stuff here... Instead I see 5,000,000 threads about MW2 or so....

Herakles, according to the rules I just made up you could not be a true addict unless you are addicted to one thing more then anything else in the world. Besides happiness or depression if you're an emo, you can always be addicted to such feelings along with Batman or whatever.

And I'm liking you less and less Autobot, no offense, I am the god of Batman, dubbed to that position by thy almighty Zeus, so you don't decide when Batman told you something, when he would be proud, etc. etc..
