so I need to get a good modern washing mashine to replace my old soviet one from the 60s which ruins my clothes. My budget is $500-700 bucks, I dont really know which brands are good and i cant really trust the salespeople as they will try to sell me the crap nobody buys (just like i did at my last job now i know for a fact that american Wirpool mashines are really good but Where i live (russia) the only Wirpools they sell are manufactured in poland and i dont trust them. I was looking at some german made BEKO mashines, there is just something about german manufactured stuff that i really trust. so if anyone can reccoment me a decent brand that wont break on me or flood my apartment or ruin my clothes, please share Thanks

Uh, I think ours is Beko.

I'd love to see things from your point of view but I can't get my head that far up my bum.

HAHAHAHA! no.. i am not crazy enough to do something like that. Compared to any other robots i have seen Terminators are by far the most untameable, dangerous, fearless, scary almost indestructible efficient killing mashines. i am scared of them D:

Btw, i also looked at bosh mashines. Some of them were german made. Is Bosh or Beko german companies?

Get a top loading one, a billion times better. Front loading just bounces your clothes around, top loading centrifugally owns them.

It's a shame Dyson stopped making the CR01 because they're incredible machines and the service from Dyson is amazing.

My parents one has been going for ~10 years and it seems almost 'invincible' - cleans anything and everything, and has so far only broken down once (and get this - Dyson only charged a fixed amount for the labour and all the parts they replaced were done for free - now that is customer service!)

It may be worth looking for any of the later models that are either still sealed or barely used going on eBay because they really are worth their weight in gold.

Sounds weird to be raving over a washing machine like this - but it really is an impressive piece of machinery, even from just the reliability perspective

Not if you think about it - a front load only needs a little bit of water (~1/2 way) which the clothes rotate through. A top load needs to completely fill itself with water

I used to work at sears, and the store I worked at, we always pushed the best product for the customer. We also gave discounts pretty much on request (hint hint nudge nudge).

So check them out. I'd go for any used/floor upright model. The uprights clean a lot better. The used/floormodels are just as good as new, you can usually get an additional discount if you ask (a couple times), but get the added warranty if you worry (it's actually a pretty good warranty they offer too).

Oh you're in russia. Yeah, forget the above stuff. Just get yourself an upright. Good luck.

by upright do you mean top loading? Yeah we dont have sears in russia and honestly i would really love to buy an american made mashine because i used them when i lived in the US and i was very happy with them. Also Back in school I took this enterpeneurship class that taught us all about realestate mortgages credit cars banks loans, all that stuff and how to not get screwed over by that stuff. I remember my teacher talking about sears and from what he told us (i dont remember the details but it was something about how they do business), it seemed sears is a pretty evil/crooked company.

I mean front loading.

No, we didn't actually. I'd push them the best product in their price range. I mean, there's always better products in any price range you can find. So in a way, yes, I would push them to buy a more expensive one, but I wouldn't push them to buy a more expensive, crappier model.

There were a number of items in our store that never moved, and that was okay. Of course, this is only my personal experience.
