Itunes only supports the .mp4 video format. So you will need to rip the dvd's with an external program, then use a video converter to convert the file to .mp4, any video covnerter is a good one.

Also remember im not sure of the legality of doing this so you might want to check. Though surely if you own the dvd, ripping it is not going to cause any problems?

Really? Is it that complicated? I put my DVDs in my Laptop, add file to library, and you have it on iTunes.

Seriously? You want to watch movies from this thing?

It's like watching movies on your PSP... not very enjoyable. But still I strugled trought Superbad on PSP. I rather just keep to the normal screen.

Actually if I hold my iPod about a foot away from my face it's the same as watching my TV from about 20 feet away--not much of a problem.

Nope, no matter how much I try, I can't get this blasted DVD to fit in my friend's ipod.

Ah well.

I'd love to see things from your point of view but I can't get my head that far up my bum.

Im pretty sure that doing it that way itunes will add some sort of DRM to the file though. Though I could be wrong

Its not legal even if you own the DVD. But I think that is a ridiculous law. So:

-Install DVD43 - this basically hides the copyright on the dvd (it does not affect the dvd)

-Install handbrake - this is what you use to actually copy the dvd.

There should be instructions for handbrake. Cannot remember the details. Takes a long time to rip but can output a .mp4 file.

On iTunes simply go file>import file and select the file.

Thanks,,,
