When I have a help file open in the U7.5 editor that has a tab name that is the same as a tab name for one of my code source files and save, the editor overwrites the help file with a blank file.

For example, I have a source file called main.dba open and main.htm open in the help tab, which is the main menu of the help files if i remember correctly, main.htm gets overwritten with a blank file whenever i use the "save all" function in the editor.

I can't reproduce that problem. Can you give a step by step example? Some screenshots would help as well.

Ah! here is the bug post, I've tested it out and I've got some steps below to reproduce the problem.

Steps to reproduce:

1) Open up the editor
2) Open up the help file
4) Press CTRL+S in the Help file window
5) Close the help file window
6) Reopen to a blank page

I've tried it several times now and the same thing happens, but only if you press CTRL+S.

Hope that helps,

Alpha Mike

Ah I see what the problem is.

When you are in the help file the drop down menu will not let you save anything only load, but the keyboard short cut CTRL+S does and its good bye main.htm

now to put me main.htm back.

Ah sorry Green Gandalf, I completely forgot about this thread!

HowDo has nailed the bug right on the head.

A reinstall of your latest upgrade should do it. But here it is attached anyway.

Great thanks! I'll backup the help directory now! I know I'll destroy some other page soon enough
