Hello, my laptop recently got infected with a virus... something to do with rundll32.exe. In my system32 folder there were 2 copies of it, rundll32.exe and rundll32 .exe. I deleted both and replaced it with the copy in my i386 folder. Then I stopped receiving errors from the program. Now I have no symptoms of an infection, but Sophos keeps finding files such as hki1342.exe - in my windows temporary files and in my local application settings.

Since the antivirus is having no problem finding them and ( i think ) blocking them, is there anything to worry about?

I think it's a seperate virus tbh, the other one was all red when the popups occured, saying a virus had been found etc, these popups are just "suspicious behavior"

Nope, I haven't got your invite, i'll ask shaun for it.

You should search for spyware too. A lot of times it's spyware not viruses that cause problems. I use Spybot Search and Destroy since it's free and works extremely well.

For viruses I use AVG which also has a free version.

I've been using spybot for ages, nothing comes up with that. I've not received a warning for a whole day now, so i'm assuming it's been killed.
