Hey! I just noticed today that my CPU is running at about 49C when idling but it used to run at about 37C idling. So I found this forum topic:
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2548616&tstart=45
And tried uninstalling the update. Now the CPU is running at about 31C while typing this post. Anyone else experience a similar problem? (I've tried googling but can't find anything other then the above link)

Sounds pretty strange, one thing I could think of would be a bios problem, but flashing the bios is usually a last resort. What are the specs?

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit
AMD Phenom II X4 955 3.2ghz (Quad Core)
4gb Ram DDR3
Radeon HD 5770 1gb
Biostar TA790GXB3 AM3 RT

For now I installed flash 10.0 and the heat of the CPU is back down to about 34C idling.

Does it consume a lot of the cpu? What about when you're playing flash content? I've heard that it can be pretty consuming for a lot of cpus, especailly since it's single threaded. You can also either find a bios update or check your fans.

Didn't even think about checking that Will do that tomorrow.

I know the fans are fine because after I changed to the previous flash version the heat is back to normal.

My mom has a similar problem on her laptop. Any time she runs anything that's Flash, her computer gets really hot, and even shuts itself off if she uses Flash for too long. She noticed it started happening only after an update.

Hardware wise, her laptop is fine. Fans work, etc.

And people wonder why Apple doesn't want Flash on a mobile device.....
