Ok, I finally remembered my login information to this account and scoured my posts but I can not seem to find what I'm looking for.

A long long time ago back in like 2005 someone put out a plugin for DarkBasic Pro which let them do dynamic code execution of some sort. Like it wrote and executed machine code dynamically I believe. I can't remember the user name of the creator but I believe they were a mod at the time.

Anyway, the person that wrote that plugin explained a lot of the complexities of x86 machine code in some thread about the plugin. Can someone help me find this forum thread?

a quick search offered this; no dll there (nor on his current website).

search ASM here and you'll find a number of threads that might be the one you're looking for.

I'm not sure that the plug-in is on the site - I couldn't find it anyway.

However, I do still have the code and the library I used to create it, so if it's needed, I could rebuild it. It'd be quite powerful now if its functionality was combined with my function pointer plug-in.

I'm not looking for the plugin, I'm looking for a thread explaining how the code generation worked and the thread especially explained how the Mod R/M byte works on the x86. (it was relevant to how it generated machine code)
