A little update for all of you. I am in talks with Neodelito on making all the characters for the game. This will give me more time on level design, cutscenes and other stuff. Neodelito has sent me two great concept pics of the new pirates. Now I will be keeping all of his work secret until the game is in full beta and even then I may not show them until the final game. These characters are well worth the secrets.

Just for fun I wanted to do a multi layered sss skin for future cutscenes, so here is that test. Enjoy!

none. It is all done by texture using an empty and displace modifier. Then just changed the scale and rotation for the mesh and this how turns out.

Thank you! Been working with your segments, but been busy trying to do a couple of things for Cp. I will be back on this shortly. My latest problem is I keep finding things I want for this game and I have to go through a whole process of trial and error before I make something for this game. You all can thank bond, eai, cp, ply, rolfy, marc and woi for their help on this things. They have shown me the basics to build on. Some of these people don't even know how much they have helped me.

Like EAI, if you sit down an watch each animation of his weapons it becomes so simple to replicate or make totally new animation. With gamerx's blender tutorials I have been able to do much more in animations than before, but it all started by watching the animations already done.

I could go on, but it's time for dinner.

Ok, I have an update on this. I have been really getting into the story writing lately and so the plan for seeing parts of the original ship level are going to change. I am going to get rid of the square look of fpsc and add a more unique look. What I will be doing is taking the ship that was originally made and making a layout that resembles how the ship looks like from the outside. This does not mean that you will not see the elements that made the original great will not be there, but the gameplay will be way different along with the feel.

I am spending some money on this to make it right. I hired someone to make all the character models and they are turning out great. I have been working more on the level design and story. I don't think anyone will be disappointed.

Here is a pic of the ship from the original game. This is just to show you how you might be going around the ship.



Now this will be the last update as I catch up on some things, but I will be kinda staying away from the forums for awhile while I test new waters, but this is being done.

Looking great Starmind. It would be cool if you could get your floating rocks video playing in the crew lounge or an area of the ship specifically for recreation and relaxation, but I don't know if that's possible - I don't know what the limits of FPSC are these days, I'm a bit out of touch.

Good Idea! And yes anything is possible. The video is about 800 frames so it shouldn't be to much for bond's animated shader handle. I have tested a 1400 frame video with it. Just wish I could sync audio with it.

great work you're doing!! I'm looking to this thread although I don't post. I don't write much. I would appreciate if you can send me a beta copy to test, when it's ready. I tried to play the first game but I couldn't, someone said that it takes a lot to load. Hope this time the waiting time could be minimal (I think less than 5 min. would be great). So when you look beta testers, count me in!!

Small Update:

Working on a small animation project for the game. Well it's more like an info-mercial for the game. I have been working on alot of fun things for the game. Mainly to give the player a small break from time to time. Some of the little animations I have done will applied to billboards, computers screens and so on to give more depth into the game. I want to have it so, if the player walks by a screen, they can watch the screen if it catches their attention and see something funny or action packed film or a peaceful resort to go to.

Each time I make an animation or something to that sort it's going to be in game one way or another. Maybe as a screenshot or actual video. Most of what I have been doing is test for something in game that I needed to test, but after a successful test it goes in game. So some of you, think that there is no great in game shots, but what I am giving is so much more, a suprise.

Anyways here is the screenie:

You guys wanted more in game screenies so here you go. I made a billboard viewer for the game. Like most games today there is in game advertising. For those that support the game they will have some sort of ad in game. Some will be like easter eggs that will give the game more replay value.

I have never really made a commercial before so be nice. The following video was a test of an idea I had. Now if only I could find a way to sync audio with Bond's animated shader.

Like a Recall vaction or a star trek vacation? I think if maybe I could do a room that you walk in and make a selection and the room changes to that selection. Great Idea!
