It's the 11th of september, a bunch of planes were hijacked by al qaeda and crashed into the Twin Towers, as well as the Pentagon. R.I.P to everyone who was lost, what a terrible day.

I live in America, and sadly I'm American, which means we need to be different, but not in a good way. Which means that we write our dates in reverse so M/D/Y, so written full in Americanese this date would be 11/9/03ft/Tbsp/C

I still morn the loss of all those innocent lives on 9/11

RIP to all those who lost their lives 9 years ago. We must remember this was not Islam, nor average Muslims that did this. This was a terrorist organisation. This is something that can unite the world, for once, and we can all be sure about what our common cause is. Unfortunately, thanks to certain people (such as Pastor Terry Jones), many have lost their vision. This has nothing to do with religion, this is terrorism, and with global effort we can eliminate it. 9/11 was a bad move for Al Qaeda.

Timothy McVeigh was Christian but you don't hear that being mentioned, unless someone is trying to make Christianity look bad, and that's the point with 9/11; yes the terrorists were Muslim but that's not the reason they did the attacks. People rush to conclusions when things like this happen because they are scared and they want to make sense of it. Another reason is that whenever a human being does something terrible like this other humans (non-muslims in this case) try to convince themselves that this person is different to them, that they themselves would not and could not do such a terrible thing. In reality we are all the same, we are all capable of terrible acts.

I am not starting a religious debate, I am stating the reason why religion should NOT be a part of this thread.

I hope they do build a mosque on ground zero, it would show a lot of maturity and decorum from the US. It's an ironic display of solidarity against Al Qaeda, the religion they claim to represent being celebrated on the spot they destroyed. I can't think of anything better to put there.

Maybe a bit late, however i barely remember that day, as i was only 8 by then, however it is a great loss and now, as i know what happened, I mourn everyone who had to die that die, it is a terrible and unnecessary waste of human life.

Not to make a flamebait but as far as I recall, some research showed the building was bombed before the plane crashed.

Still a huge loss.
