You haven't got any RAM, and you'd be stuck with the crappy onboard graphics card.

I'd love to see things from your point of view but I can't get my head that far up my bum.

It depends what you'd use it for. If you unlocked the 2 other cores in your processor, and added 4gb DDR3 RAM and this, you'd have a pretty awesome gaming PC.

But don't forget the power supply too. I'd say 600w minimum, and avoid anything cheap.

What you mean unlocked the other 2 core procsessor? I'm planning on using it for DBPRO to begin with, and when I get a bit more money, i'm gonna upgrade it more, my end goal is to have a computer that can process Leadworks Game Engine

That processor is actually a quad core with 2 cores disabled. You can google a tutorial on re-enabling them, and you've got yourself a cheap quad.

The one you linked to IS a good quad, that's my point.

if you are gonna get that CPU you might as well pay a few extra bucks and get the 3.4 GHZ. also i think the actual x4 phenom is better than an unlocked x2/x3 because x4 has more cache, i might be wrong too lazy to look it up. just get the 3.4Ghz its worth it. Also your motherboard sucks. thats just my opinion, a decent mobo for a gaming comp would be a gigabyte full atx. just so you have the extra room to upgrade. if you dont want a gigabyte, then id reccomend asus or MSI. they all make very good motherboards. Also its just me but i have a personal rule to never buy a mobo with an onboard graphics. I think i have a reason for it but i cant remember. Ill just say i will feel that my computer would be offended if i give it a built in video card. as for dvd rws and harddrives, i went trough so many of them that theyre all pretty much the same. unless i take the extra step and get something above average like a 10000rpm HDD or a blu ray drive.

Also, i always thought that only the tricore CPUs have the quadcore capability i had no idea about the phIIx2's or is this only with phenomII cpus? can someone please explain me the whole which cpus can be unlocked into a quadcore?

This guide may help with unlocking

Unless you're comfortable with monitoring temperatures and running cpu memory tests, you probably should avoid it for now.

Even if you can't unlock a core, you can easily unlock L3 cache to unlock your Athlon into a Phenom which is way faster.

You should consider a dedicated graphics card, that's a pretty poor (in today's market) gfx card. Although, it does support shaders 4.0 which I didn't even know existed.

Why do you think that? It has everything he needs.
It is a micro ATX, just be aware of that when you wonder why everything is so tight-fitting.

The harddrive is fine, but personally I'd only use the WD green drives for storage or secondary drive. For a system drive, I'd go for a higher performance, at least the blue or for a few extra bucks the black.
