I'm getting a nice amount of money soon and will have about £300 to myself and am planning to get my gadget fix as I am long overdue (just over a year!). I like the idea of a tablet and am looking at the Archos 70 or Archos 101 as I don't want an iPad as I won't be able to develop anything for it myself and it's out of my budget.
I'm looking at pretty much any gadgets though TBH, I'd prefer something useful for college or work though as well as being useful for recreation. any ideas or suggestions..?

I bought an old PDA the asus p550 to help me out with my work. Its not a modern smartphone but it has many features. I found this PDA very useful in my work. I can use exel to calculate my commission for the month and especially i can use it to quickly calculate the amount of work i did repairing a computer. Since most of work i list is complete BS like installing/tweaking drivers and tweaking bios for optimal performance stuff like that, results in a long list of bs work each of which costs a certain amount of money and writing it on paper while counting gets the customer guard up which results in argument about why i charged for this and what does doing this do? sometimes it can be tough to persuade the customer that you are not BSing them. The PDA changed that, i quickly enter the data in a spreadsheet, the customer cant see, and with a toch of the pen i have the full price instantly. Hits them like a train, they dont even have time to react or ask questions when i hand them the bill with all the work listed and the final price. they dont have time to ask questions they just look at the shockingly high price tag and usually pay. Once in a while some smartass will try to argue but they 98% of the time they pay at least half (usually about 100 bucks) which is good enough for me. I always shoot for at least $250-300+ I give all credit to my PDA, it made my work so much more efficient. Also i use it to play bubble breaker in subways and buses

dont hate people who rip you off, cheat and get away with it, learn from them
