this is cool to check out

Another hobby of mine is doing 4 dimensional projections of hypercubes when I have nothing better to do. [edit] (graph paper+calculator)

That's an incredible program, cool that it's in Java too. Who would've thought that 4D looked so strange?

Sadly, I really have no more time for my hobbies now that I'm stuck in a double advanced school program. I can only check the forum once every three days, and post like once a week. I'll get back to you.

to my eyes, thats still 3d since all i can see there is, take the arrow. it is flat ,we see its "wire" so to say, there is still only X,Y,Z in that "viewbox" and no matter how i turn it, it still looks the same as it would in any 3d app.

@Quik
What you have to do is rotate it with the middle mouse button first, then with the L or R-mouse button, that's where the strangeness happens.

the arrow is STILL an 2d plane in an XYZ axis viewport...

Its a 4d object projected into 3d space projected into 2d space for display on the monitor. also, how do you know its in an xyz axis viewport? Its just a white screen with lines on it!
3d to 2d projection is where you have a point (the viewer) and a plane. Draw lines from the viewer to whatever point in 3-dimensional space you want to project, and draw a dot where the line intersects with the plane. 4d to 3d is the same, just using a cube in stead of a plane.
