Hey guys.

I'm sure this is simple; but I'm getting a new comp tomorrow, and I wanted to know if there was anything I needed to do to make sure I have the same achievements unlocked on my new computer when installing COD4 on it? As well; what do I have to copy (file-wise) and put in the new computer's COD4 directory to get all the missions I've completed already?

I don't know much about COD4, but aren't online accounts universal? I.e if you log in on another computer it knows how far you got, achievements, ect.

Your signature has been erased by a mod because it's almost 1MB in size

Yeh, I imagine it works like recovering a Gamertag onto a different XBox...

Most games save achievements and unlocks onto a server, so the end user doesn't just edit the local files to get them...

If your COD4 is from Steam,then I think it will copy over when reinstalling and signing in. If it's a normal version,then you could try copying the savegame and profile folders.

Or you could download a tool like MyGameSync and get it to back up your game saves for you automagically. If you find me the location of the saves for COD4 I will add it to the game list and it will work.
