I guess I could consider myself one, but I'm not a complete "expert" on it. I still enjoy using my 90mm telescope outside, tho.
Is there anyone else here who's into this? I enjoy boggling my mind about it, the size of the universe and all.

I do a bit of 'sky watching' with my binos and telescope, with the aid of an excellent program called Starry Night.

You should watch this if you can:

http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap100918.html

Jupiter is in opposition ('Full Jupiter' ) and closer to planet Earth than in any year since 1963.

Also, Jupiter is aligned with Uranus, so much that they can be seen at the same time, above and behind (you'll need at least binoculars to see Uranus). Watch the pic above.

It is funny to think that you can spend almost lifetime with or without planets like Jupiter in the skies. Now it is with us at night

I was actually just watching jupiter recently, I must've mistaken Uranus for one of its moons!
