I've been wanting an dock for my iPhone for awhile. However, I don't want to shell out the cash for it. So I decided to make one out of Lego.

It's very durable and the phone fits in there perfectly. I want to make it so it swivels to and locks into landscape mode, but most of my good Lego are still at my mom's house so I don't really have anything to make it spin with. But in time I will have it and I'll be sure to post pictures.

edit: twitpic seems to be having issues. Maybe it's just me. So I uploaded one of the images here.

That's pretty cool. Especially seeing an American that writes 'Lego' (correct) instead of 'Legos' (incorrect).

Lego = 1 brick
Legos = multiple bricks.

LEGOS!!!!! >8O

Remember those old guys? They made epic renders, I think one of them was called DaVinci, and all they used was MS Paint. Sometimes it's just skill....

Oh yeah, now I understand.

Furniture = one piece of furniture
Furnitures = multiple pieces of furniture!

Makes perfect sense. You can't really say 'a lego', just like you can't say 'a furniture' or 'a clay'.

All other arguments are now invalid because of that.

I'll settle this once and for all...
http://web.archive.org/web/20050219065929/www.lego.com/errors/legos.asp?domainredir=legos.com
When you click, read fast... it redirects. This used to be on Lego's website.

Anywho, I've always said "Lego"

I have more Lego at my mom's house that I'm going to pick up here soon and make it so that the stand swivels so I can turn it to landscape and watch a video or whatever.

I used the dock today at work. It was wonderful. It was super useful. A few of the other developers came up and picked it up and expressed how awesome they thought it was. I love it.

I can do it the other way around:

Computer = one computer
Computers = multiple computers

Lego = 1 Lego
Legos = multiple Legos! Imagine that.

Only yours fails since you're using a count noun and then a mass noun. Have you ever heard anyone say 'a lego'?

Aye, but in this case, it's 'lego'.

Otherwise I'll get my sheeps on you.

Great job on the dock, by the way

Semantics could win you a pub quiz or Who Wants to be a Millionaire. We could be making somebody rich.

In other words - they're not that important unless you're communicating professionally, so it's probably beneficial if you're a Lego salesman, but not for day-to-day conversation, where we all butcher the English grammar system anyway, except the Queen, but then she gets a lot of money.

We didn't, the yanks did. Not that it matters, I mean to be fair - one of the principles that was put behind American English was to try and make it more consistent and remove any redundancies (for example the 'u' in 'colour'), although it wasn't not much of an overhaul - after all they don't have sheeps and nor do we.
