This fan-made video inspired by Modern Warfare 2 has already racked up over 500K views, so you know it’s pretty good. I have no idea how it was done for a reported $209.42, but the results are impressive.

The YouTube notes:

An unofficial tribute to one of our favorite game franchises of all time: Call of Duty. This film was made for the princely sum of $209.42. Now you can finally see what we were working on in the Portal vid!

Hope you enjoy what we’ve been chugging at here at our loft for the last three days!

Also if you’re a super nerd, Spectre gets four kills but he has Hardline equipped. That’s why he can call in the Predator missile. Duhhhhh. Also no need to CG fake breath when you’re filming at -20 degrees F

My main complaint with the video is that the soldiers don’t kill their enemies from a mile away with their ACR. Or stab (and kill) someone from 15 feet away while that person was shooting them with an assault rifle. Have they even played the game? Also, everyone in the video seems to be wearing a hoodie. Nitpicking aside, they did a killer job and some of the shots and video effects are quite cool.

But what do YOU think of this work?

You can veiw Part 1 here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzQMGMuD1sU

not bad at all i actually expected this to be terrible seeing as it is a fanfilm based on a military FPS. (i thought the halflife2 fanfilm escape from city 17 was great)

dont hate people who rip you off, cheat and get away with it, learn from them

Yes that was awesome.

But this is the only MW fan film I've seen... so it's automatically the best. :-P

They use airsoft guns and then add in muzzle flares in after effects.

I am gonna buy movie prop guns (I have after effects and muzzle flares and have been practicing) there like toy guns that dont shoot anything but are to scale (some are, some a few inches off) and there only like $8-$25 each (from automatic pistols, to SMGs, to snipers, to machine guns (AK47, AR-15, M16)
