Here's a list of some games and random apps I like....
Blocked Stone
Bonsai Blast
Gameboid
Frozen Bubble
Snesoid
Abduction

Good Morning
Shazam

And my favorite app by a long shot...
Laputa
Laputa is amazing if you like to read. Sooooooo many books for free.

Signature's are stupid.

Google Navigation (bundled with Maps) is a must, especially if you were planning on buying a SatNav - currently it does just as good job as most of the SatNavs on market today.

Tapatalk is a great app if you check forums regularly, it condenses all the information into an easier to digest format and is much quicker than manually browsing the forum via your browser. Only problem is it's for vBulletin and phpBB (so no TGC I'm afraid).

I use to use Opera browser, but didn't like the fact that it waters down many websites. I've got a couple of tablets running the stock browser, which is quite a nice experience on a full screen. I've heard good things about Skyfire so you might want to check that out.

I've got a G1, and the battery life is shocking (less than 12 hours). SetCPU is a scalable overclocking app (not free) which will either clock the CPU up or down depending on what you are doing. So if the phone is idling then it'll go down to the lowest frequency so as to save battery. Not really needed on newer phones as I think it does more harm than good, but certainly if you are having battery problems then check it out.

If you have an AMOLED screen then there is an app which reduces the amount of certain colours being shown (with very little difference to what you actually see) - which has a massive impact on battery life. Not sure what it's called though.

Erm, there's an app to overlay the positions of satellites onto the camera, pretty useful if you're trying to rig up a satellite dish.

Hope those help

Youve got to download dolphin HD...best browser Ive tried for Android.

Advanced task manager is also a must. It comes with a "PUSH TO END ALL" widget that ends all tasks.

Handcent SMS is way better then the stock text messaging app.

Also, if your like me and have cool things popping into your head all day, be it story ideas, game dynamics, or just quotes from characters...you have to download SPRINGPAD...its basically just like a notebook, for tiny notes, except you can make lists, attach pictures, anything...and it all syncs online so you can get everything from your computer.

Anycut (free) or bettercut (paid) is a great app that lets you put shortcuts to ANYTHING.

PANDORA IS AWESOME!!

Robo Defense is one of the best android games out there.

Root Explorer and ASTRO are the best file browsers...but you need ROOT obviously for root explorer.

If you get root, set CPU is awesome for overclocking your phone CPU. also Wireless Tether lets you tether your phones 3G connection to a wifi hotspot your computer can use.

Again if you have root, Terminal emulator, and autostart are two applications. If your a tech head like me, you probbably want to write scripts and such and run them to do cool things...Autostart lets you run scripts at startup.

Try Atomic bomber, it's free, and fun as heck! lol Also, try springpad, it's a website that has an app for the android, and you can create tasks, to-do-lists, etc. from either your computer or android and can then see it via both computer and android! It helps me stay on top of all my projects. The G4 App, of course. Music Downloader Pro allows you to download free music, SO it's awesome. If you run I suggest Runkeeper Free. All the google apps (Shopper, Earth, Translate, Google Sky, Listen) Another fun game is Alchemy, or ThrottleChopper, Gem mine is another fun game. Memory Trainer is another interesting App, It seems to work for me! lol

Anyways hope you enjoy some of these!

HTC Desire! Woop. Upgraded from a Motorola V3i which I have had for 5 years.
