Quote: "The dog ate the pig."

Nope. I didn't mention this, but all pigs must stay alive.

Quote: "You can put each pig on the divide between each sty, so the back half of each pig is in one sty and the front half is in another."

You may only put one pig in one sty.

<EDIT>

@OBese87

Yeah, that was rather clever, but still, the pig in the center is not in a sty.

Cheers

LOL. No, that isn't the case. But, nice try, though.

It's a lot more simple than that.

Did he take one pig out, and put the other in?

Or do they have to be in the stables all at once?

No and yes.

Quote: "the 11th pig goes in one of the other animal's stables"

No, because the other stables are allready taken by the other animals.

One more tip: theoretically, you just put the 11 pigs into the ten cages.

Draw 10 stables and write 11 pigs in each one?

I think I've seen this before, now that I think about it.

No, not exactly, but your getting close. At least, I think. Can you give an example of what you mean?

Hum, I'm afraid not. But, you are getting really close.

You know what? I'm gonna make this a bit more challenging and interesting. He/she who solves this riddle, gets a prize. And, not just some prize either. The winner can either choose between a FREE copy of my game BRIXOID that I'm gonna sell on the netbooks (Intel AppUp Store), or a FREE song that I will make (metal or house/trance) for him/her.

Are the stables arranged to look like a pig? So you have 10 pigs in 10 stables and the stables are arranged to look like a pig. 11 pigs, 10 stables.

No, you must have 11 pigs in 10 stables.

Quote: "He puts 10 pigs in each stable then write a peice of paper that says "1 Pig" in the stable with another pig?"

No, but indeed, he has to draw (and write) something on paper.

Quote: "Are the stables arranged to look like a pig? So you have 10 pigs in 10 stables and the stables are arranged to look like a pig. 11 pigs, 10 stables."

Hum, I'm afraid not. Don't know if it would be possible to make it look like a pig with only 10 boxes, but it's a great idea, though.

<EDIT>

One more tip: read my tips. Anyone that can draw and write, can make this happen.

Anyone else has an idea??

No, you're making this way too difficult for yourself. It's much more easier than that. Trust me, when you'll know the answer, you'll hate me even more.

<EDIT>

Oh, and I would like to mention this to those who try to find the answer to my riddle:
Make sure you have an email button if you wanna win the prize. I can not send you something, if I don't know your email address.

Cheers

No, it doesn't work. You still have 10 sties (with one pig in each sty), but there's still one pig that doesn't have a sty to shelter.

Quote: "Do any of the other animals have anything to do with it?"

No, not in this case.

Okay, here's one more clue:
This could work with pigs or cows, but not with sheep or horses.
For horses, for example, you can only have 10 horses for 9 stables. And, for 10 sheep, you would only need 8 stables.

YES, we have a winner!
Well done, budokaiman! Was it the last tip?

So, now for the prize...what do you prefer? A free copy of my game BRIXOID? Or, a free song (metal, house, trance,...) that I will make for you to use freely in your programs/games?

BRIXOID, please (as I recently found out that the AppUp store doesn't work on Vista, so I have no other way of getting it ...)

Sure, no problem. I'll send it to you by email, if that's okay with you?
But, you'll have to wait a bit, cuz' I had to reformat my HD, and I'm re-installing all of my programs, including DBPro and all the plugins. I can allready give you the earlier version that I submitted to the AppUp store, but that version only works for netbook resolutions, and the online highscore feature was not added yet.
This version does run on a PC or a laptop, but you will have a border around the game (the desktop). Hope that doesn't bother you?

Ah, that stinks. I had to do the same not too long ago, when I replaced my hard drive.
