Hi guys,

I just got invited on a gaming conference. It's not about a particle topic for example: "Innovation" or "Programming". The conference is about Game And Animation.

I got the invitation because of my large contacts and my newly released game. But I'm out of topic ideas right now. The conference is about 2 weeks later. But I have fill up the form right now.

Should I speak about my game? Or game development tips? Or a how-to? Any ideas?

Thanks

Maybe talk about the artistic aspects of videogame development. Like taking concept art and how that eventually makes it into the game, but also how games can often be described as works of art themselves.

Game creation is really the most creative of any hobby, because it encompasses everything, animation, art, architecture, subject study, logic etc etc. It encompases many artistic feats into a single experience, or collection of experiences. I'd go as far to say that videogames are the results of arts evolution over the last 30 years. Animation techniques have changed a great deal, some games even make animation partially redundant, like GTA4. But it's been an integral part in the evolution of videogames, these days it's rare to see bad animation, the results and techniques are much more similar to movies and cartoons these days. Just an idea, the trickest part of this stuff is coming up with enough material - no matter what, you always get through material quicker than you expect, so pick an angle that has a lot of meat on it.

But could be a fascinating concept. Unfortunately, I don't think it's really changed all that much since even the Atari days...

I like behind the scenes stuff. I say a behind the scenes look at your game. And make sure you link to a video of the speech you give!
