Hey all,

I joined this forum back when I was 22, and now I'm 30. Wow! Somehow by writing that out it makes it all the more crazy... almost 1/3 of my life.

My girlfriend is making me dinner and we'll be staying in and relaxing. Now that's my kind of birthday

Happy Birthday Jeku!

Here's a celebratory PCI Card: And a celebratory beer!

I'd give you a piece of cake, but it's a lie.

Happy birthday, sorry to hear it's the big 3-0. But as Spooky highlights, it could be worse.

However, as a young 21 year old, I think I could sit here and gloat, just like BigAdd, but I'm not that cruel, after all it's your birthday.

Hope you have fun and best wishes mate.

well, i usually say: The life starts when you are 18, and ends when you are 30

so now, you can basicly do ANYTHING, with no restrictions, since your life is over!

When I saw the title of this thread 'The big 3-0 today...', I thought it had something to do with Football, or another ballsport. And, because football is not one of my interests in sports, I didn't pay much attention.
But, now that I read the whole thread, I can honestly say that I've won! Mine is 4-1! Mwuahahahahaaaaaaa!

Happy birthday, BTW!

Cheers

Thanks for the good wishes everyone... last night I stuffed myself with salmon, bacon-wrapped asparagus, rice, and licorice! Perfect dinner

My girlfriend got me a new blanket, sheets and pillow, and my parents have already promised to buy me one of those single-serving coffee machines with the little pod capsule thingies when they move back to BC in December. Should be interesting

I couldn't agree more. Never had it with licorice though, not a fan of it, but then I'm not a fan of aniseed but it can be awesome when cooked with something else.

Oh I didn't cook the food with the licorice.... I just had a bag of Maynards licorice candies. Turns out *nobody* I know likes licorice except for me, so I got to eat it all.

Jeku you lucky guy... congratulations!

Do not underestimate the 3-0 to 4-0 decade, I can tell it is as exciting as the 2-0 to 3-0

Quote: "... officially old and cranky"

Lol, I wish I were officially old and cranky as you consider it
Next time think about the ones that are making 4-0 like me! Now I cannot find the adjectives to describe it... officially mummies? lol

Ah right, I've known people to cook with licorice. Being the only person who likes something has its advantages.
