I thought it might be good to make a thread where everyone that owns StarCraft II can post their contact info, and we can all get connected with each other

My info:

The character code can be found when you scroll your mouse over the image of your character in the top right corner:

Yes it's true, it literally melted my graphics card on the highest settings. Luckily I replaced it and am now playing on medium settings with no problems.

Why on earth are your GPU's melting? It should be impossible to destroy hardware with pure software... I have a Radeon HD 4670 and can run the game at ultra settings with absolutely no problems at all

@ Quik

I'll be looking forward to getting contacted with you then

Doesn't anyone else want to post their code?

Mine is Spydaniel, no point posting character code, you don't need it, you just put the persons name in to add them.

// Guess you do need character codes, mine is 244.

If a game fries your graphics card it means you don't have sufficient cooling.

Just found an article about this issue. Blizzard confirmed the graphics card meltdown bug. Apparently, the menu rendering was uncapped, and that caused the GPU to work at it's maximum before overheating. As Micheal P said...

@ Josh Mooney

I couldn't add you, it says you don't exist :/

The rest worked

They might have different servers depending on continent. This is what they did with world of warcraft.

Aye, but I still have b.net friends from Japan and India. I think we can only add each other through our b.net emails. No idea if we can play each other though.

I don't have starcraft yet, but just a question: what are peoples' opinions of the game? is it worth getting? Also, I wasn't sure, the $60 is a one time fee, right? Because I really can't afford a subscription game...

It's a one time fee

It took them 10 years to make, and I must say, this game has to be the game of the decade! It is incredible to play, incredible graphics... Everything is perfectly tuned. Those 10 years of waiting easily payed off

actually, they said that they wanted to release SC2 2 years after SC1. Judging by that it probably took them 9 years to complete SC2 AND Battle.net 2.0 ( which has become awesome btw. Even though some things still miss ).

But yeah, I would really recommend it since it's almost perfectly balanced, it has nice graphics and awesome menu's

Iam pretty sure it is 6years approx of work, but whatever

If you like intense strategic game, with... well, I am not going to say much about the multiplayer except that I personally think it stinks, unless u play with friends, the multiplayer comminity is worthless, all about quickest win, no fun, just the quickest, chickiest tactics which brings out the quickest lamest wins... well thats my opinion!

It is however a PERFECT LAN game!
