I'm not 100% sure I want it - I think they are moving away from the feel of Fable 1. All the thought, and ideas went into Fable 1's actual gameplay, the plot was engaging and the player got to experience the plot, rather than sit idly watching it. In Fable2, the good / evil thing was practically removed, it just didn't feel like I could be this, or that type of character, instead the plot dragged the player over obvious choices. Personally I prefer the way it works in Fallout:NV, you can make enemies or friends depending on how you act, and what choices you make. I like the idea of being hated by one faction and worshipped by another - makes the character seem more rounded. I guess what I'm most worried about is that the whole theme of Fable is changing... I mean, I have no desire to play as a king - I was happy being a nobody, making a name for myself in the Ankh-Morpork style city. In fact I wish they'd get someone like Pratchett to write the plot, gag Molyneux for a few weeks and let the player experience a game that is not designated for us, but designed for us.
It's like there's this progression that Lionhead have been aiming for, start with Fable and it's quirky sense of humour and amazing plot, let people be good or bad, let people have fun. Then Fable 2, it let people have a kid, and a little band of adventurers. Then with Fable3, let them rule the whole kingdom - seems to me that there's a big jump there, wondering if there should have been a different Fable3 before this one, maybe to conclude it - I think I'd rather see Fable3 as more of a sandbox game, lots of side quests and characters - if there was ever a time for Molyneux to NOT get lofty about a game, it was Fable3.
