Ok guys, so I just got done dealing with a nasty little big called Trojan.BackDoor.TDSS.565 or something close to that. Now after dealing with it some programs cannot connect to the internet.

The Windows updater cannot connect to the internet to download updates, I cannot access the Steam store though the Steam App. WoW wont start because it cannot access the patch server. I can however use Firefox to access the internet.

I tried running various programs in administrator mode but nothing worked. I'm running Windows 7 64-bit.

Any ideas anyone?

Refresh you core files for windows?

Most likely screwed the main files for your connection networks.

Just a repair should do it not a fresh copy.

At least at 2 in the mourning thats the best i got.

Make sure the virus is killed, run avast, spybot, malwarebytes, anything you can think of to get rid of it, and repair. If that doesn't work, I suggest you backup your files and reinstall.

Yep, go to internet explorer, go to internet options, make sure you don't have anything set for the proxy server. (i think under the connections tab)
