I have been looking to get a dedicated server, so that I can host a few game servers on, to possibly build up a clan/community. I have come across gamingdeluxe.co.uk who are renting out dedicated servers, one of which costs 49.99 a month. I wanted to know, how many servers can I host with these specs? I did a little research and some people who asked the same questions had the replies of "5-7" servers. I just wanted a second opinion on it.

1.8GHz CPU E4300 or AMDX4200
2GB RAM/Memory
80GB Hard Drive
Unlimited Gaming Bandwidth (guessing they mean 100Mbit)
Windows Server 2008/2003 or Linux

Depends usually on the # of slots, FPS rate, game modes they play and many other factors that can make or break the #.

What kind of game servers are you looking to host? I'd say the 5-7 is a safe # to go on.

(I used to be technical support in a game server hosting company lol )

Probably looking to host 66 tick source servers, at 24/32 slots a server. I am wanting to host Gmod and minecraft servers and maybe 1 CoD WaW and one TF2 server.

Almost all dedicated servers nowadays use only consoles so computing power is not that important, you need ram and internet speed to run it. The server should do it fine.

BTW I am running my own servers on Sempron 1,8ghz and 768mb ram,COD6 and SAMP servers run just fine.
