I've just finished a step by step illustrated tutorial which goes through the process of making a professional business card design without any prior knowledge of Adobe InDesign. You could create the artwork with the InDesign CS5 Demo from Adobe's website.

I believe there are a few freelancers on this website, and whatever line of work you're into I hope this tutorial will spark a few creative ideas.

The tutorial includes all the artwork you'll need and you don't need to sign up to access anything.
