I'd like to see somebody to challenge the Shooter Genre and create something amazing without guns. For example, an proportionately long 12 years ago, A review of Half-Life, which turned in to a pivotal moment in gaming history, The shooter genre was called:
Quote: "Its genre, the first-person shooter, has nearly been beaten to death."
Think about it, take away the shooting genre, even partially, and you end up with a truly memorable game:
-Mirrors Edge
-Assasin's Creed 2
-Portal
Just a few, but all memorable for that reason. Somebody needs to think outside the box, but don't expect the major game creators to do so. As long as the general
(lets face it, stereotypical teenager) audience will lap up the repetitive FPS genre, nobody risking money will go for something different.
