Hey all,

I've updated the forum code so you can imbed YouTube videos straight into your posts. This has been requested a few times and I don't see the harm in it. The videos will not autoplay, and this of course only works with YouTube. This will be handy for the showcase forums and anything else that's interesting

You just use it like this:



You get the ID from the URL of the YouTube. For example if it's http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jb-Ferd00DY then the ID is jb-Ferd00DY

If you have questions let me know!

Huzzah, I'll test it in a bit. Also, you may want to fix the typo in the title, it's "embed" not "imbed"

Yeah, I copied the link from the embedded code that youtube provides, realized after what I was doing wrong. Thanks for the great feature.

Even if you can, the video object is too large for the sig size requirements.

Nice one jeku. This reminds me of Scrubs when Kelso says yes to someone and then everyone comes along demanding new things

One thing I've always wanted was a way to copy the contents of a code snippet in one click.

Is there a thread that explains all the bb codes the forum currently has and how to use them and even what features might be added in future?
