Hi,

I've been working on a model pack that will contain kitchen furniture and appliances. I will use this thread to keep you updated on the progress. If you have any wishes or suggestions about what should be included in the pack, please post them here.

Every model will have clean and dirty/grunge texture variations.

To do list:
Clean kitchen segment
Grunge kitchen segment
A chair
A table
A refrigerator
An oven
A sink
A cupboard / kitchen counter
A trash bin
A cooker hood

EDIT: ALL DONE! The pack is ready to download. Check out the release thread:

Thanks, Zoq!

Texturing isn't my strongest point but I'll try to work them. I'm getting better and better at it.

Here's a render image of the oven. I'm not sure about the placing of the cookers though

Yes, the textures are fine, but with a little work they would be great.

Not to go off topic, but I have been working with Cosmic on his Wastelanders packs. This winter I will be working on BLR and a game in unity. But I have no plans to make another pack for here unless Cosmic is attached to it.

Nigezu, sorry for going off topic. Keep up the good work!

I'm working on normal and specular maps now. I hope to apply them on every model in this pack. I'll post screenies later.

This is gonna be awesome!

EDIT: Oh yeah, looking good ! Chair, table and fridge are now normal and specular mapped. I'll upload some screenshots tomorrow. Now I got to get some sleep.

Here's a screenshot of some normal/spec mapped stuff. What do you think? Speculars are still a bit too bright imo but it isn't a problem to tune them down.

Nice but I suggest bringing specular map bit darker. Now it's too unrealistic. And fridgerator texture doesn't blend so well. Make those borders bit lighter so ut will fit better on it. And if you want it grungy, i suggest downloading some grunge textures and placing them over your texture and setting opacity to 10-20% so it will look alot better.

Check for pure horror.
And Now with real demo.

LOL, I just realized it's not much use tweaking the specular maps as long I have to use FPSC v1.17's default entity bump shaders. Once I get my hands on bond1's shader for static entities, I can really start to work on the shader maps (bond1's download link is currently down).

Meanwhile, here's a screenie of the latest grunge texture for the frigde. It still isn't perfect but I'm getting there.

I wasn't happy with the result so I made a new fridge from scratch. Here's a pic.

It's currently using bond1's Metro Theater shader for dynamic entities but I'll change it to static one when bond1 gets it re-uploaded.

EDIT: There's now a pic of clean version also.

New fridge looks tight! Youve got some nice models here... I recombine taking a look at Macpo's kitchen pack. He manage's to blend in a nice contrast if usability and grunge. Yours is currently bordering on "just out of the scrapyard", but it seems like you want it to still be in an apartment

Id love to see more

Cheers,
Anayar

That's just what it's supposed to look like
I've got a clean version of the texture also. I may post a pic later.

I'm thinking of redoing the whole pack to match the quality of the new fridge. Especially the chair is way too high poly and the texture could be a lot better.

@DarkJames

Thanks!

These are some quality models and textures and I've put much time and effort into them. Every model supports bond1's shaders and has 1024x1024 diffuse, normal, and specular maps. Normally you would most likely have to pay for models of this quality. Still I thought this pack will indeed be a FREE one!

Maybe my next pack will cost something.

Thanks guys!

Here's a cooker hood. It might be a little let-down after all the great models but consider it as an extra. It completes a kitchen scene nicely though.

I played around with anim8tor and the result was this trash bin. Texture is still pretty much a place holder. C&C welcome.

Here's a grunge segment to go along with the dirty texture variations (I haven't done a dirty texture for the kitchen counter yet). Notice the FPSC ready trash can in the corner.

@DarkJames

It won't be too long until you get to lend your hand on these. The pack is basicly release ready. I only have to make a few more textures and I'm waiting to get my hands on bond1's normal mapping shader for static entities. His download links are still down.

@Zwarte Piet

I wouldn't like to give an exact date as that would put too much pressure on me. This is like a hobby to me and I do these on my free time, so someday I may spend several hours modelling and texturing and the other days I may have no time at all. But as stated above, the pack is basicly ready. I'm only waiting for bond1 to get his static entity shader download link online.

You won't have to wait too long. If I can't get my hands on bond1's free shader soon, I will release the pack without the shader (still including all the textures). Those who want to do it can apply a shader effect they fancy on the models.
