ESC even if it was cached you wouldn't have gotten a ping. Maybe this is part of the waiting period to purchase a domain and someone was fiddling with it. Dunno, pretty odd.

we already were on vapournet

I'm accessing it through a dif addy. You have to edit source on pages in order to post. Danny still hasn't logged on.

(on a better note the search for the mega server might have just found us something a whole lot cheaper and easier )

In a way it's amusing that the site to replace RGT going offline went offline before RGT did...

I guess it's not permanent like RGT will be though.

[EDIT] douh, didn't notice that this was two-page thread. [/EDIT]

And what's up with my site? Who knows. Tried connecting via ftp, and it said that the server was actively refusing connections, and now it's fully offline. Odd. I guess I should contact the guy who owns the webspace so that he could contact the server and so on...

It would appear some people have been able to access it some of the time and others not at all.

I know some have managed to post during the time that I was unable to get access. Now it looks like the normal link isn't working at all as nobody has posted for around 16 hours.

Any news and we'll keep you informed.

Mushkin has fantastic tech support, and the best ram on the planet. Netgear's tech support is terrible. Its all based in india and you cant understand the people your talking too.

Yup,
anyone who joins the underwaredesign forums now gets a free icon changer that works with DBpro executables on Win98,98SE,ME,2000 and XP.

Does it replace the icon displayed in the top left corner of a windowed app?

We can't get the IP, can we? I mean the domain is irrelevant as long as we have access. Its not like the IP is secret info, a quick tracerroute on any domain and you can get it.

It's not like it works very well, you would have to edit the page source, save it to your comp, load it up and then use it. And you would have to do that for all the pages there. Although some links can be used just by typing in. and so on...

Yep agree with las6. Other than being able to confirm that everything's still there the site is pretty un-usable at the moment.

I hope you're wrong about the length of Danny's holiday Ash.

First I've heard as well UW. However he did say he would be offline for a while because he was completely rebuilding his PC after the problems he's had recently.

Bliv is also without a net connection for about a week while he moves.

Just unfortunate that this couldn't have happened at a worse time.

Me, I'm just about to enter the Betty Ford Clinic while I go through withdrawal.

Basiclly i have held my crys in, and played with Sonar 3 and fruity loops, but then again, since my INET connection at home is dead, i couldn't post much anyway .

Hello all,

This was a shock!. I've contacted my domain provider and sent through my renewal, so this should be sorted very soon. The most annoying thing is that I never received an e-mail about my domain renewal.

I've been in Germany and Austria, as I needed a break. It's just my luck that this has happened. I flew back yesterday evening, so this is the first i've heard of it. My computer is now back up and running, so i'll be on-line more.

Again, apologies all.

Check the LLRGT thread I made if you haven't already. There's a way to make your own system a DNS. It's not working for me at the moment and I haven't bothered with the DNS thingy. If nobody else have mentioned it and you still can't access LLRGT I don't mind telling the other mods when I get back in there myself.

Me wanna go to Hawaii too...
