Domains are only like $9 a year mate (.com). (talking about your site).

And no offense, i think you should learn more before you start to do paid services.

Oh and DONT use dreamweaver, or any of that nonsense. Notepad / Notepad2 / Notepad++, etc, are the best options.

Smoke me a kipper, ill be back for breakfast.

No offense but if you were to charge $50 for something like your site, you would be over charging by at least $45 =/.

You should also charge per hour.

Dreamweaver's got *the* best editor out there. I use it exclusively. The WYSIWYG view should be thrown out though

You might have a degree which looks good, but, sadly, your site does not look too desirable.

I know many web designers that charge $15 an hour, get the job done fast, and produce top quality work, but they still find trouble getting a job.

People nowadays have the option to make a website with a few clicks, their own domain with a few bucks, and if they are in anyway competent with google, they can edit the HTML, PHP, or CSS, to change their site in the way they need.

Im beginning to think web designers are getting outdated. Maybe im wrong though, but i do think you need a bit more work on that site.

lol, take your time, your not in a deathmatch trying to type

Of course i should definitely not be the one to become the spelling police.

We should grab the most satirical guy on the forum and make him the typo catcher.

Syko Games,

In my experience, doing freelance is pretty dependent upon demonstrating some mastery of whatever the industry. So my 2 cent worth at this point, would be to build up portfolio by any means necessary. If it means creating some free/cheap 'site templates' for TGC people, or design templates / logos / art whatever. Just get some runs on the board. So then potential customers can get a much better idea of your style/growth through past examples.

Your profession surely isn't spelling! I'm not trying to be a grammar nazi, but typos on a website (especially when there is only one sentence on the whole thing) looks unprofessional. So does annoying flash ads that pop up over the screen.

As Kevin said, you should worry about building up a portfolio right now. Because as your site stands right now, I wouldn't consider your design services.

Btw, the adrian askew website gets flagged by Google as harmful.

Check out this website, http://99designs.com/, and browse the various jobs. Even if you don't submit an entry or win the ones you do, it'll give you something to build up a portfolio.

I am amending the site to make it more professional. I am also looking into why google thinks the adrian askew site is harmfull. Thanks for your comments

Even I couldn't spell dyslexic without a spell checker.

To be honest a C grade GCSE isn't very impressive and anyway people aren't going to be interested in your qualifications unless they are specific to web design. Like other people have said, your site doesn't look very professional (and doesn't seem to exist any more). Try designing a few fake websites to get some practice and fill up your portfolio, and show examples of what you can do.
