We had our Thanksgiving last month, and I have to ask: Why are we getting Black Friday sales in Canada now? I'm not complaining... but it's a regular work week like any other.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving.

As far as Black Friday in Canada, I guess all I can say is happy shopping and I hope that they have good sales.

I reject your reality and substitute my own!

I hate Black Fridays...every year something crazy happens in my town. Last year a woman was shot, and the year before another trampled to death over a stupid VCR...both times...

Oh yah, happy Thanksgiving. Our family meal was epic, I've never felt so huge in my life!

Black Fridays are awesome! I just got a router. Now I'm off to get a graphics tablet. I'm thinking a Monoprice one. I of course have to do it over the Internet. Great deals for everyone! But not as crazy as boxing day. I shudder at the time I went to some mall in downtown Toronto and it was freaking packed. Everyone already took all the good deals.

Thanksgiving is an offense to Native Americans. The Europeans invaded, stole their lands, and either killed or enslaved them all. And we're supposed to celebrate all of that?

Yup! I celebrate that every day because I love living in North America Since I wasn't around during those early times I can rightfully celebrate having a fortunate life for being in a beautiful part of the world.

This would be akin to being proud or celebrating any victories from any of our ancestors. Surely Native Americans aren't the only ones who had their land taken away, in the entire history of man?

Happy Turkey Day for us Americans! Too bad my turkey was on the dry side. The stuffing and pie was delicious, though.

You do realize that the Indians celebrated thanksgiving with the Pilgrims, right?
And you do realize that yes, there were cruel white people, but newsflash, there were savage Indians as well.

Just sayin'...

Yeah, those darn savage indians celebrating thanksgiving with us. The indians were savage because the English raped and pillaged their cities.

The worst part about it is how we educate our children of the whole disgusting affair. We teach them that the Indians were inferior (even though technologically they weren't). We teach them that the Indians were savage and ruthless, when in reality it was almost completely retaliatory. We claim that they were stupid for trading their lands, even though the indians were trading lands that were not theirs (but enemy indian tribal lands). The only reason the English took control was because the Indians were dessimated with disease the English brought over (due to poor hygene no less).

The English did not deal fairly with the Indians, and you know what, oh well. I'm just offended by the poor history taught in American schools about it.

So uh... anyways, what were we talking about?

Oh yeah, Thanksgiving was yummy! Got ham *AND* turky, I can't complain!

Yay, the whiners come out in full force once again to make us all feel like crap for being born into a country that was handed over to us hundreds of years ago. When Christmas comes around, let's be sure to call it 'Holidays' or 'Festivus' or anything other than Christmas, as to ensure we don't offend all those who were ever hurt or oppressed by those nasty western people. Let's face it, people will complain either way so we might as well try to be as generic, sterile and thoughtless as possible; I would hate for anyone to be happy or cheerful, or remotely thankful for being born in such a great part of the world.
