Hi and welcome!

You need to download DBP (it's for free now), and then start reading some online tutorials, looking and changing some tutorial code, or even get a book on how to program with DBP. Online tutorials can be found on top of every board. Good luck!

Welcome kapacek!
Dark Basic Pro is quite rewarding when you make something cool
i recommend some of these plugins to extend functionality
Newton Physics: Physics Wrapper for DBpro that is simular to Xeno except with more features.

Blitz Terrain: Very good LOD Terrain system that is faster than advanced terrain

XenoPhysics: Physics Wrapper for Havok

EZ Rotate: as the title suggests, a more efficient way to rotate objects
Just search the forums for more useful plugins, all of the plugins listed are free.

dont hate people who rip you off, cheat and get away with it, learn from them

the way i got started is experimenting with some of the more simple commands and making something (i thought) was nothing short of a miracle! (rotating Textured sphere )
