Hey guys,

Yesterday I had an idea for a community Project.
The "idea"-thread here:http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=178954&b=24

So I already made some segments and also a poor candy cane entity.
If you want to join the project as a modeler, segment, sound or decalmaker, just post it.

Dont worry about the UV mapping, I don´t make UV maps.

Maybe a dif texture on the rocks, but they look great. I would also make the candy cane in a few sizes, small like a real one, the size you have shown, one about half the size of a segment, and one the full size of a segment(hight) But very nice.

I made the first version of the snowman. Just have to put it together a bit, and make the different sizes. then to make several variations.

I need some help.. I usually use Milkshape, but I can't right now. So I made the snowman in Wings 3d, and used UV Mapper Classic to create a UV map. I textured it, so how do I get it back into Wings 3d? Or should I just re-make it and use the Wings 3d built in UV mapper?

I dont know I use metaseq.
If you want you can rebuild it but if you dont want its also ok.

Design Runner: Come to me for all your Wings 3d needs. I am like the master of it.
To get it back into wings, first export as .OBJ
Then import into Wings. Now go to file, import image. Import your texture map. Go to window, outliner. Drag the tex you imported onto the model (not theone in the main window, the one in the outliner). It will pop up with a little menu that has the option to make it diffuse, bump map, and something else I cant remember. Choose Diffuse.
Boom, your model and texture are in W3d!

Alright, I just re UV mapped it using wings 3d because I didn't see your post and now I need to know: It uses around 6 UV maps (prob should have grouped everything and made one) so how do I get it to be multi-textured in fpsc? Because there is only one texture input line in the FPE.

EDIT: Omegamer, care to put yourself in the "members of project"
EDIT 2: nvm I figured it out, I copied the "textured" line, and pasted it a couple of times, then put all the textures in

Alright, the texture thing I said before doesn't actually work. It is fully textured in the editor but not in test mode. Any input?

Make it dynamic.
And in Wings 3d, you can make a uv-map foreach group of the object, then group them together, go back to uv-mapping, and they will be combined. Then move the pieces of the map til it looks right to you.
Also, I would reccomend you to re-uv map it in the way I said above.

I should have the first part of the snowman set done tommorow. Then the other variants, then to figure out how to make them characters so you can have snowmen that get resurected and come after you when you arn't looking muwhaha

In theory, could I: Retexture a character, say the skull, to be black so it is invisible...
Make one of my snowmen into a weapon with animations such as moving for "walking" and such, then make it the size of a character. Then have the arms be the actual weapons by striking in front with a melee gunscript? But have the entire weapon just be the snowman with that gunscript?

Sorry for double post, but I made the larger version of my snowman and put it the same folder as the other, and now neither is textured. But all the textures are in the folder.

EDIT: ok, static has one textute, dynamic is invisible.

hmm... should I get my snowmen working, which I think I just did by completely re rigging them, I will make some isicles (<- how do I spell that?) and other snow cave entities.

Cosmic made a good santa and a bad santa in his christmas pack. It has a chrismas tree, presents, snowman, sleigh, and christmas lights. You should really download it.
